This layout permits casual yet intimate cruising for small groups such as 10 - 25 guests seated as well as large groups up to 70 for a cocktail style functions.

“Far-Lap” was built in 1995 by York Brothers in Swan Bay. She is an 18 meter aluminium catamaran and is legally permitted to carry 110 passengers in smooth waters day or night 7 days per week, anywhere in Australia.

She was purchased by Peter and Fiona Ewan of Dunbogan in mid 2013 and has undergone a complete refit for the purpose of chartering. Peter and Fiona have over 50 years experience between them owning and operating charter vessels, providing food and beverages on vessels carrying up to 200 passengers, with Fiona holding a Master IV ( Skippers ) Licence for 14 years and Peter holding a liquor licence on vessels for over 30 years on 3 different vessels. They are both passionate about sharing the waterway and making it accessible and enjoyable to a variety of people.

Our Company is fully insured and only use experienced captains and crew.

Our cruising area is the Camden Haven Inlet up to head of Camden Haven River at any tide, and up to Kendall weather and tides permitting.

The Camden Haven is an enchanting waterway with a unique mix of landforms from shallow, clean, clear blue water lined with mangroves, oyster leases and sandbanks scattered through the channel, to deep areas where dolphins regularly feed and play, all with the backdrop of The Three Brother Mountains high in sky behind.

The animal life on the river is prolific with daily sightings of pelicans, eagles, black swans, dolphins, black cockatoos, and a lesser seen local the loggerhead turtle. Fisherman can be rewarded with bream, jewfish, whiting, and flathead so big you couldn’t jump over them.

The Camden Haven has so much to offer the visitor; accommodation, restaurants, function centres close to the water’s edge seating up to 600 guests, pubs, cinema, dinghy, kayak and stand up paddle board hire, beautiful uncrowded beaches both on the river and on the ocean side, bushwalking, Crowdy Bay National Park with beach and camping facilities.
